Calcium carbonate is a natural mineral that acts as an absorbent of impurities.

Kaolin is a naturally occurring clay mineral (silicate of aluminium) used in cosmetics for its absorbent properties.

Jojoba oil is an essential fatty acid from the jojoba plant, which is broken down by water to form a new complex, and functions as a skin-softening agent.

Jojoba butter is similar to a natural substance in the upper layer of our skin. Topical application helps reinforce the skin’s surface to create a smooth, hydrated, well-nourished appearance. 

NMFs (Natural Moisturising Factors) make up a group of ingredients that include amino acids, lactic acid, sodium PCA, minerals and peptides. Together with naturally occurring lipids in the skin (like ceramides, cholesterol, and glycosaminoglycans), NMFs keep the skin’s surface intact and supple.

Myristyl alcohol (not a real alcohol) functions as a thickener, emulsion stabiliser and emollient. This gives the product a beautiful feel when used with water.

Phenoxyethanol is a widely used synthetic preservative with global approval for use in cosmetic products in concentrations up to 1%. It offers broad spectrum protection against many pathogens you don’t want multiplying in your skincare products, is purified before use in cosmetic formulations, and is used at very low concentrations to assure the safety of the product under various use conditions.
